Fen Restoration Plans are being developed for thirty-six individual sites under contract by environmental company, Arup through the Tóchar Midlands Wetland Restoration Scheme. The plans set out proposals for restoration of fens and associated wetland habitats on the various sites in the midlands. The plans identify technically feasible restoration measures for various zones of each site. The finalised plans are available for review or download below.

Where restoration measures are outlined on their land, landowners are eligible to receive incentive payments of €1450 up to a total of €15,000 and a minimum of €750. As site plans are approved a letter and an information pack will issue to all landowners where restoration measures are identified on their lands. Entry into this fen restoration scheme is voluntary and should not preclude entry into other schemes as this scheme relates to specific activities over a short period.
