On Saturday, January 24th Tóchar Stories is co-hosting a community storytelling event and heritage walk with the people of Carbury, Co Kildare and the Knockirr & Carbury Bog Group.
It is part of Tóchar Stories “Sharing our Past, Imagining our Future” engagement work and follows on from a similar event in Kilcormac, Co Offaly last September. In Carbury artist Luke Casserly will facilitate the storytelling workshop with Tóchar Stories Helen Shaw and local artist and photographer Shane Hynan, who is a member of the Knockirr & Carbury Bog Group, will share his own story and work. After the indoor session in the Carbury Community Centre people are invited on a heritage walk to Carbury Castle guided by local people with a stop at the beautiful Church of Ireland church in the village. Little refreshments will be provided.
The event is free and designed for those living around Carbury itself but registration is required: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/sharing-our-past-imagining-our-future-carbury-co-kildare-tickets-1976558621043?aff=oddtdtcreator
