Just as rushes and mosses\u2014once essential tools in the hands of women\u2014sustained life, women today are leading the way in restoring our wetlands and ecosystems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-ast-global-color-7-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-b765a955f9bb270f3957ab02ffd63964\">St. Brigid&nbsp; is deeply connected to the land, water, and the cycles of renewal. Her association with rushes\u2014woven into the iconic St. Brigid\u2019s Cross\u2014reflects the ancient relationship between women and nature &#8211; especially the wetlands, where rushes and mosses were vital resources for daily life. Just as Brigid was a guardian of &nbsp;healing, and abundance, wetlands are nature\u2019s own healers, storing carbon, purifying water, and nurturing biodiversity.
